How To Steal A Million

Beale Street in Memphis was a good time every night, but on our final night there, kind of got tired of the atmosphere.  That is when we discovered Mollie Fontaine Lounge located in a three storey Victorian house on Millionaires' Row.
This lounge felt reminiscent of the 1966 film How To Steal A Million, starring Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole.

It was a cool and relaxing atmosphere, but we were so tired and just lounged around most of the time.  Of course I still made an effort to take as many photos as possible :)

King of Rock n Roll

Tourist Thursday!  Graceland was so enjoyable, it's definitely in the top 5 museums/monuments I've ever been to.
Visiting Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley
The kitchen.
The game room.
Details of the game room curtains.  I'd love to see pants or a dress with this pattern!
The Jungle Room - I was highly amused by the green shag carpet...that covered the ceiling.
An interesting fact I learned about Graceland... Elvis purchased this property in 1957 for a whopping  $100 000.  What a change from this modern age!
The iconic pink Cadillac

Elvis' private jet named after his daughter.
Music room.  Just look at that stereo system :D

Case of the Blues

Today I visited the legendary Sun Studio.  Sun Studio and it's founder Sam Philips are responsible for discovering such talents and boosting the careers of legends such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, BB King, and Carl Perkins.  It is also credited as the place where the first Rock n Roll song was ever recorded.
It was amazing to be standing in the very room where hits such as 'Great Balls of Fire' and 'Walk The Line' were recorded for the first time.
Roy Orbison
Elvis' original Shure 55 microphone.  In the exact spot where he stood when "That's All Right" was recorded.
"Million Dollar Quartet" -Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash
"That's All Right" The first track Elvis recorded at Sun Studio and that was ever released on radio.
I am loving the vibe of Memphis.  Live music every night!  A post about that coming soon ;)

Heartbreak Hotel

Visited the oldest cafe in Memphis, The Arcade Restaurant, and now off to Graceland! So excited to see the King's pad.

Hang Me Up To Dry

First day in Memphis had a bit of a slow start, due to arriving at around 7 AM and doing some hard-core napping.  Regardless, it was an enjoyable afternoon wandering around South Main.
Inside the package are some adorable things I found at Hoot + Louise.
I'll be posting some of it soon for sure.
Prepare yourself for the most random OOTD labeling you will ever come across haha:
Scarf - Chinatown in Chicago | Top - P.Russell in Hungary, Jeans - Levi's | Leggings -  Boutique in Jasper, AB | Boots - SuzyX | Bag - gift | Sunglasses - Ray-Ban
