Red Cup in OKC

Today is my final day in Oklahoma City.  It is also the birthday of my dear friend, Alex.  So as per tradition, we took a ride out to an out-of-the-way cafe, The Red Cup, which turned out to be quite far from the hotel.  But the adventure was worth it!
The Red Cup has a great vegetarian/vegan menu
Classen Blvd Smoothie: Pineapple, strawberry, mango, apple juice
There were many murals in the surrounding area and we had fun exploring whilst waiting for the taxi, which is always a questionable experience in a foreign city.  We made it back just in time.
Our driver informed us that instead of going so far, we could've visited the arts district that's only 5 blocks from our hotel.  Too bad we only discovered this on our last day!

Happy Birthday, Alex!

Said The Whale

Last night I had the opportunity to see one of my favorite Canadian bands, Said The Whale, perform at the Kaleido Arts Festival in Edmonton.
I had their newest album [Little Mountain] on repeat in Hidalgo, Texas when it came out in March, so seeing them perform live was an amazing opportunity. Not to mention it was the night before I leave Canada for 9 months...perfect timing!
I definitely prefer listening to them live because produced tracks tend to be too "smooth" for my personal preference.  Regardless, Little Mountain is a great album to listen to from beginning to end.  At the Kaleido Festival the sound was so clear and simple; therefore, the instruments beautifully enhanced each other as well as Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester's excellent vocals.

Here's the music video for their song 'Lines' for your enjoyment :)
And also a live session of their song 'Big Sky, MT'

NYFW

It's New York Fashion Week!  And I wish I could be there. Instead I am waiting to board my flight to Oklahoma City, where the West Coast portion of the Dare to Dream tour will begin.  Not a bad alternative at all!  I am so excited for what's to come this season :)
Denver Airport right meow.
In celebration of Fashion Week, however, here is a short video I made that I never got around to posting of the Chloe Comme Parris show I saw at LG Fashion Week in Toronto last spring.  Throwback time!

Grayscale

Under cover of darkness, we found our way to White Sands National Monument. Probably the most enjoyable time I've ever had whilst getting lost on a roadtrip :)
